Network inputs
IPFS Input
Receive a media endpoint using the IPFS input type. Use endpoint and connection details supplied by the sender/provider.
Before you start
Open the intended collection and layout. For capture or network inputs, have the device or sender available.
Where to find it
Sources > Add > IPFS Input.
Use it
- Open the scene that will contain the source.
- Choose Add in Sources.
- Select IPFS Input in Create Source.
- Enter a name and choose New.
- Enter Endpoint with the selected input protocol.
- Set Timeout (ms).
- Enter authentication in the protected authentication fields if needed.
- Configure only the transport, socket, HTTP, or TLS fields offered for this input.
- Choose Connect Preview and check the feed.
- Choose Save and Close (or OK where shown).
- Check the source in Preview before taking it to Program.
Controls and additional tasks
The input type must match the endpoint protocol. Credentials belong in Mode/Username/Secret or key rather than the endpoint. Non-sensitive HTTP headers belong in Additional headers; authentication/cookies use the protected fields. Certificate verification checks the remote identity where TLS options apply. Socket buffer 0 uses automatic buffering. Width and Height set the scene item placement. Live network inputs use connection recovery rather than local-file Play/Pause/Stop controls.
Endpoint example
A connection pattern for this input is ipfs://content-id/path. Replace the example address/path with the details for your feed.

Example
Use the exact media endpoint supplied for the show.
If something is wrong
If the feed does not connect, check endpoint protocol, sender availability, credentials, timeout, and any transport options.
Stop or remove
Hide the source to stop showing its picture. Use its available playback/connection stop control when you need to stop the input itself. Remove the source item from the scene when it is no longer needed. Shared sources can still be used in other scenes.
