How do I edit and export an image?

Follow this workflow to edit and export an image.

Before you start

Prepare the image and choose a destination for the edited copy.

Where to find it

Tools > Image Editor; Image source > Edit.

Steps

  1. Choose Open Image or Paste Image.
  2. Choose Select, Highlight, Pencil, Arrow, or Text.
  3. Add annotations or image/text layers.
  4. Set fill, stroke, size, font, and opacity.
  5. Arrange layers.
  6. Add/adjust effects.
  7. Choose Save Image.

Check the result

Open the exported image and check its crop, dimensions, and transparency.

Helpful information

Undo/Redo reverses supported edits. Remove BG uses edge-color detection. Merge Down combines the selected layer with the next layer; Flatten Visible Layers combines visible layers. Clear All removes layers. Effects include Color Correction, Levels, Sharpen, Color Overlay, Shadow, Glow, Blur, Vignette, Crop, and Corner. Select an effect before reorder/reset/delete. Fit To Window and Zoom change the editor view.

Review export selection and destination before replacing an existing file.
