How do I reconnect missing media files?

Follow this workflow to reconnect missing media files.

Before you start

Locate the moved media or the folder that now contains it.

Where to find it

Collection > Check for Missing Files.

Steps

Choose Check for Missing Files.
Select a missing row.
Use Browse File, Choose a matching file, Choose an installed template, or Choose Bundle as offered.
Alternatively choose Search Folder.
Review Replacement and Status.
Choose Apply.

Check the result

Apply the selected replacements and check each affected source.

Helpful information

Search Folder includes subfolders and matches filenames. Clear clears the selected reference. Cancel closes without applying. Enable Check missing files when layout opens in Settings for an automatic check.

If something is wrong

Review proposed file matches before applying; a similar name is not proof it is the correct media.
