How do I connect a remote-control client?

Follow this workflow to connect a remote-control client.

Before you start

Use a trusted local network and prepare the supported client.

Where to find it

Tools > WebSocket.

Steps

  1. Enable WebSocket server.
  2. Set Server Port.
  3. Keep Require authentication enabled when sharing access.
  4. Set or generate a password.
  5. Choose Save.
  6. Open Show Connection Info.
  7. Enter those details in the intended controller.

Check the result

Check Connected Sessions and test one safe action.

Helpful information

Use only on a trusted local network: traffic is not encrypted. System tray alerts and connection activity logging report connections. Connected Sessions lists clients; Kick disconnects the selected client. Connection Info offers copy controls and a QR code; it can contain sensitive access details.

If something is wrong

Review server state and connection information. Disconnect an unexpected session and protect the displayed access details.
