Web Controller

Control permitted production actions from a browser or mobile device.

Before you start

Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.

Where to find it

Tools > Web Controller.

Use it

  1. Enable Web Controller.
  2. Choose Port.
  3. Require username and password and set them.
  4. Choose permissions for status, layouts, scenes/transitions, and output.
  5. Choose Save.
  6. Copy URL and open it on the intended trusted device.
  7. Sign in and use the permitted controls.

Controls and additional tasks

Browser traffic is not encrypted; use a trusted local network. Disable output permission if the controller should only cue scenes. Existing passwords remain until replaced. Service Status shows state after the last save. Closing without Save leaves the saved configuration unchanged.

Give a stage assistant scene control without output start/stop access.

Additional workflow details

Use this controller on a trusted local network. Browser traffic is not encrypted. Protect access with the offered Basic authentication and limit the permitted inspection/commands. Retained passwords remain in place until replaced.
