How do I add a web page to a scene?

Follow this workflow to add a web page to a scene.

Before you start

Choose a trusted URL or local web file.

Where to find it

Sources > Add > Browser.

Steps

  1. Open the scene that will contain the source.
  2. Choose Add in Sources.
  3. Select Browser in Create Source.
  4. Enter a name and choose New.
  5. Choose Input Mode.
  6. Enter URL or browse for Local file.
  7. Set Width and Height.
  8. Add Custom CSS if needed.
  9. Review when the page reloads or closes, its permissions, and mixer audio.
  10. Choose Save and Close (or OK where shown).
  11. Check the source in Preview before taking it to Program.

Check the result

Check page appearance and any intended sound through the mixer.

Helpful information

Width and Height are the selected scene item size, from 1 to 8192 pixels. Custom frame rate accepts 1–120 FPS; otherwise the layout frame rate is used. Shutdown when not visible reduces background work. Refresh when scene becomes active reloads content. Refresh cache after save reloads without the current cache. Enable Control browser audio through the mixer to manage supported page audio. Interact sends mouse and keyboard input to the live source.

If something is wrong

If blank, check the URL/input mode and refresh; if sound bypasses the mix, review mixer-audio control.
