How do I show and manage platform chat?
Follow this workflow to show and manage platform chat.
Before you start
Connect the intended platform account and choose the conversation.
Where to find it
Platform Chat status-bar button; Platform Chat dock.
Steps
- Add a Platform Chat source to a scene.
- Select a compatible template in its properties.
- Bind template fields to chat properties.
- Open Platform Chat.
- Filter or search messages.
- Use a message Add to Broadcast action.
- Use Remove from Broadcast to clear it.
Check the result
Check a test message in the selected chat view and any intended on-screen presentation.
Helpful information
Free, Paid, Member, and Favorite tabs organize messages. Settings chooses base, paid, and member sources. Only sources already added to scenes appear in these selectors. Format uses {0} for the chat value. Reply opens the full message; Ctrl+Enter sends a composed reply. A host message is sent to every connected platform. Sending messages is a separate deliberate action.
