MCast Gaussian Blur

Applies the gaussian blur visual effect.

Before you start

Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.

Where to find it

Source right-click > Filters > Add Filter.

Use it

  1. Select the source and open Filters.
  2. Choose Add Filter.
  3. Search for MCast Gaussian Blur and add it.
  4. Adjust the controls below in the live preview.
  5. Compare with bypass enabled.
  6. Keep the effect only if the result suits the scene.

Controls and additional tasks

Reset returns defaults; disable bypasses without deletion. Filter order affects the picture.

Effect settings

SettingUse and limits
Expand LeftAdd space at the left edge for effect pixels outside the source. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand RightAdd space at the right edge for effect pixels outside the source. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand TopAdd space above the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand BottomAdd space below the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Imagesize XAdjust imagesize x; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Imagesize YAdjust imagesize y; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Imagetexel XSet imagetexel x for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Imagetexel YSet imagetexel y for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
U RadiusAdjust u radius; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 0; Range: -2147483648–2147483647.
U DiameterSet u diameter for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -2147483648–2147483647.
U Texeldelta XSet u texeldelta x for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
U Texeldelta YSet u texeldelta y for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Kernel SourceSelect the kernel source used by this effect.
Kernel FileSelect the kernel file used by this effect.
Kerneltexel XSet kerneltexel x for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Kerneltexel YSet kerneltexel y for this effect. Default: 0; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Pixel SizeAdjust pixel size; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.

If something is wrong

If a required image/source is missing, select it in the corresponding file/source control. If the effect is clipped, review its expansion controls.

Stop or remove

Bypass the effect to retain settings. Select it and choose Delete to remove it.
