MCast Night Sky

Applies the night sky visual effect.

Before you start

Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.

Where to find it

Source right-click > Filters > Add Filter.

Use it

  1. Select the source and open Filters.
  2. Choose Add Filter.
  3. Search for MCast Night Sky and add it.
  4. Adjust the controls below in the live preview.
  5. Compare with bypass enabled.
  6. Keep the effect only if the result suits the scene.

Controls and additional tasks

Reset returns defaults; disable bypasses without deletion. Filter order affects the picture.

Effect settings

SettingUse and limits
Expand LeftAdd space at the left edge for effect pixels outside the source. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand RightAdd space at the right edge for effect pixels outside the source. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand TopAdd space above the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
Expand BottomAdd space below the source for effect pixels outside its bounds. Default: 0; Range: 0–9999.
SpeedAdjust speed; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 20; Range: 0–100.
Include CloudsEnable or disable include clouds. Default: true.
Include MoonEnable or disable include moon. Default: true.
Center width percentageAdjust center width percentage; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 50; Range: 0–100.
Alpha PercentageSet alpha percentage for this effect. Default: 95; Range: 0–100.
Apply To ImageEnable or disable apply to image. Default: false.
Replace Image ColorEnable or disable replace image color. Default: false.
Number starsSet number stars for this effect. Default: 20; Range: 0–100.
Sky Color XSet sky color x for this effect. Default: 0.027; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Sky Color YSet sky color y for this effect. Default: 0.151; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Sky Color ZSet sky color z for this effect. Default: 0.354; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Sky Color WSet sky color w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Star Color XSet star color x for this effect. Default: 0.92; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Star Color YSet star color y for this effect. Default: 0.92; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Star Color ZSet star color z for this effect. Default: 0.14; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Star Color WSet star color w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Light Sky XSet light sky x for this effect. Default: 0.45; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Light Sky YSet light sky y for this effect. Default: 0.61; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Light Sky ZSet light sky z for this effect. Default: 0.98; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Light Sky WSet light sky w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
SKY LIGHTNESSSet sky lightness for this effect. Default: 0.3; Range: 0–1.
Moon Color XSet moon color x for this effect. Default: 0.4; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Moon Color YSet moon color y for this effect. Default: 0.25; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Moon Color ZSet moon color z for this effect. Default: 0.25; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Moon Color WSet moon color w for this effect. Default: 1; Range: -1000000–1000000.
Moon sizeAdjust moon size; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 0.18; Range: 0–1.
Moon bump sizeAdjust moon bump size; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 0.14; Range: 0–1.
Moon Position xSet moon position x for this effect. Default: -0.6; Range: -1–1.
Moon Position ySet moon position y for this effect. Default: -0.3; Range: -1–1.

If something is wrong

If a required image/source is missing, select it in the corresponding file/source control. If the effect is clipped, review its expansion controls.

Stop or remove

Bypass the effect to retain settings. Select it and choose Delete to remove it.
