Built-in filters

MCast Recursion

Create a trail of earlier source pictures with an adjustable delay.

Before you start

Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.

Where to find it

Source right-click > Filters > Add Filter.

Use it

  1. Open the selected input/source Filters.
  2. Choose the appropriate Add action.
  3. Select MCast Recursion.
  4. Adjust the settings below.
  5. Compare enabled and bypassed results.
  6. Close the filter editor when finished.

Controls and additional tasks

Filter order changes the combined result. Bypass keeps settings without applying the effect; Delete removes it. Reset restores defaults.

Effect settings

SettingUse and limits
DelayAdjust delay; compare the effect in the preview or audio meter. Default: 1; Range: 1.0–1000.0.
Offset XHorizontal displacement. Default: 0; Range: -1000.0–1000.0.
Offset YVertical displacement. Default: 0; Range: -1000.0–1000.0.
Scale XHorizontal scale. Default: 1; Range: 0.01–10.0.
Scale YVertical scale. Default: 1; Range: 0.01–10.0.
RotationRotate the selected item. Default: 0; Range: -360.0–360.0.
AlphaTransparency of the effect/result. Default: 1; Range: 0.001–1.0.
InversedReverse the selected mask/effect relationship. Default: false.
Reset TriggerSet reset trigger for this effect. Default: 0; Choices: None, Show, Hide, Activate, Deactivate, Enable.

If something is wrong

If the result is unexpected, bypass the filter and then enable it with defaults.

Stop or remove

Bypass the effect to retain settings. Select it and choose Delete to remove it.
