Local diagnostic logs and retention

Configure local diagnostic detail and save a support report when needed.

Before you start

Open the collection and layout you intend to use. Prepare the devices, storage, or receiving service required by this workflow.

Where to find it

File > Settings > Diagnostics; Help > Diagnostic Files.

Set it up

1. Enable detailed local diagnostic logs only when needed.
2. Choose Log Level and health snapshot settings.
3. Set Max Log File Size (MB) and Log History Retention (Days).
4. Save the settings.
5. Use Export Diagnostic Logs or the Help diagnostic report action when collecting a support report.
6. Review the export before sharing it.

Storage and cleanup

Set the maximum file size and the number of days to keep local logs. Clear Old Logs removes old diagnostic material. It is separate from deleting recordings or media.

Sharing controls

Diagnostics sharing is disabled in this version. The Telemetry controls are not active and are not saved. Local diagnostic settings and manual exports remain separate from automatic sharing.
