Speech models
Choose installed speech models for captioning.
Before you start
Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.
Where to find it
File > Speech Models.
Use it
- Select Fast or Smart engine settings.
- Choose Add model.
- Review Recommended or All models, or Import existing model.
- Enter model details where requested.
- Set the default model.
- Choose Validate Fast or Validate Smart as applicable.
Controls and additional tasks
Model lists show language, size, quality, speed, and status. General Speech Models sets default engine/language/mode, logging, graphics acceleration, and temporary-file retention. Enable only the engine you intend to use. Removing a model can affect captions using it.

| Cancel | Close without saving the pending edits. |
| Close | Close this window. |
| Display name | Set display name for this item. |
| Language | Set language for this item. |
| Model type | Set model type for this item. |
| Source model | Set source model for this item. |
| Browse | Choose a file or folder. |
| Set as default model | Turn this option on or off for this item. |
| Add | Add the selected item. |
