Preview, projectors, and Multiview preferences

Choose how editing boundaries, display windows, and Multiview interactions behave.

Before you start

Open the collection and layout you intend to use. Prepare the devices, storage, or receiving service required by this workflow.

Where to find it

File > Settings > Preview, Projectors, and Multiview.

Set it up

  1. Set Preview area color and Program area color.
  2. Choose overflow visibility and on-screen selection options.
  3. Set projector cursor, topmost, persistence, and fullscreen limits.
  4. Choose Multiview click behavior and scene labels.
  5. Save and review the intended display.

Preview

Hide overflow hides content outside the canvas. Overflow always visible and Show overflow even when source is invisible control boundary display. Allow on-screen source selection permits clicking visible unlocked items in Preview. Draw safe areas and Show pixel alignment guides help positioning.

Projectors

Hide cursor over projectors removes the pointer over projector views. Make projectors always on top keeps them above ordinary windows. Save projectors on exit preserves their configuration. Limit to one fullscreen projector per screen restricts competing fullscreen projector views.

Multiview

Click to switch between scenes enables scene-switch interaction. Show scene names displays labels. Check this choice before clicking Multiview during a live show.
