Projectors, Multiview, scopes, and screenshots

Show production pictures on another display or in a separate window. Multiview combines views; scopes help judge brightness and color.

Before you start

Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.

Where to find it

View > Preview Monitor or Program Monitor; Preview/Program options.

Use it

  1. Open Preview or Program options.
  2. Choose the projector display or window option.
  3. Use a fullscreen projector only on the intended screen.
  4. Open the layout preview monitor you need.
  5. For a still image, choose the applicable screenshot menu and file format.

Controls and additional tasks

Source, Preview, and Program screenshots offer PNG, JPEG, BMP, TIFF, and WebP. Set Screenshot destination in Settings. Preview monitors include Waveform RGB, Waveform Y, Parade RGB, Vectorscope, Vectorscope + Waveform Y, and Vectorscope 2X Zoom. Waveforms show signal levels; vectorscopes show color distribution. Multiview offers Add Source, Remove, Full Screen, and Always on Top. Projector settings control cursor hiding, topmost behavior, restoration on exit, and one fullscreen projector per display.
