Set up a Stinger transition

Use a media clip to cover a scene change at a chosen transition point.

Before you start

Open the collection and layout you intend to use. Prepare the devices, storage, or receiving service required by this workflow.

Where to find it

Manage Transitions > create/edit the Stinger type.

Set it up

  1. Name the transition and choose the media file under Stinger Media.
  2. Review Detected duration ms.
  3. Choose Transition point type and set the transition point in the offered time/frame control.
  4. Set audio fade style and Audio monitoring.
  5. Use Preview Transition to check the change.
  6. Choose Save.

Transition point

The transition point determines when the scene switch occurs within the stinger clip. Choose a point where the clip hides the scene change.

Track matte

Enable track matte uses the selected Matte layout to control reveal. Invert matte colors reverses its treatment. Check the preview and media layout before applying it to live scenes.
