Application Audio Capture

Capture sound from a selected application.

Before you start

Open the intended collection and layout. For capture or network inputs, have the device or sender available.

Where to find it

Sources > Add > Application Audio Capture.

Use it

  1. Open the scene that will contain the source.
  2. Choose Add in Sources.
  3. Select Application Audio Capture in Create Source.
  4. Enter a name and choose New.
  5. Choose Window.
  6. Choose Window Match Priority.
  7. Check the direct audio level.
  8. Choose Save and Close (or OK where shown).
  9. Check the source in Preview before taking it to Program.

Controls and additional tasks

Refresh applications after opening the application. Adjust the saved source audio in the mixer. Availability depends on the capture support offered on the platform.

If something is wrong

If no level appears, play audio in the selected application and refresh.

Stop or remove

Mute the input in Audio Mixer to stop its sound. Use its Stop or connection control if you also need to stop playback/capture. Remove the source item when it is no longer needed.
