How do I make ISO recordings?

Follow this workflow to make ISO recordings.

Before you start

Decide which inputs or buses need separate files. Enable the required buses and prepare writable track folders.

Where to find it

Recording Output Profile > ISO recording on and Audio Track.

Steps

  1. Create or edit the layout Recording Output Profile.
  2. Set the picture/audio options, recording format, and main output folder.
  3. Enable ISO recording on.
  4. Open Audio Track. Add and name the required tracks.
  5. Use Assign Input to select each intended enabled bus or input.
  6. Enable the required track buses and set each track folder where offered.
  7. Save the profile and attach it through Recording Destination.
  8. Record a short sample, wait for the running state, and stop.
  9. Inspect the main output folder and the configured isolated-track folders.

Check the result

After stopping a short sample, open every expected isolated file and confirm it contains the intended audio. Check the main recording separately.

Helpful information

This workflow uses the tracks configured on the Recording Output Profile. Individual host/guest recordings have separate Guest System settings.

If something is wrong

A missing isolated file usually needs a check of that track’s enabled state, assignment, and folder. Enabling ISO alone does not choose tracks.
