Recording, broadcasting & outputs
External outputs
Send a selected feed to a monitor, network receiver, or supported output device.
Before you start
Select the intended collection or item before changing its settings.
Where to find it
Layout Output > External Output Profile; External Destination.
Use it
- Create/edit the external output.
- Choose Output Type.
- Choose Output Feed.
- Configure only the fields shown for that type.
- Select render and audio-track settings.
- Save and attach it to the layout.
- Start the destination and check its receiving device.
Controls and additional tasks
Monitor output selects display, fullscreen mode, and audio device. NDI/OMT use sender identity and supported group/alpha options. SRT uses mode, host, port, stream ID, encryption, and latency. RIST uses recovery/profile/security settings. Network outputs expose destination/local ports, buffering, IP family, bind address, TTL/DSCP, and connection timing when applicable. Hardware outputs expose device/port, video format, duplex/link settings, and optional timing offset. Stop ends delivery.
If something is wrong
If the receiver is blank, check feed selection, receiver connection, and supported format. Hardware discovery alone does not confirm that the receiver is showing frames.
Additional workflow details
Use External Output Profile for profile creation and External Output Type settings for Monitor, SRT, RIST, MPEG-TS transports, NDI, OMT, and DeckLink controls.
